The B.C. Ministry of Health Services has issued a message to health regulatory organizations and health authorities about the reprocessing of medical devices and equipment. The message focuses specifically on best practices for all single-use and multiple-use devices and patient care equipment. In particular, the Ministry reinforces the requirement to dispose of single-use (disposable) needles and syringes after they have been used once.
